Menu bar apps grouped by what shape they are rather than what they are about. A tag cuts across the categories: the same tag can hold a media app, a utility and a developer tool.

Dynamic Island
macOS apps that turn the MacBook notch into something like the iPhone's Dynamic Island: now playing, battery, timers and a place to drop a file.

What a tag is here
Every listing on this site has one category, which says what the app is about: Clipboard, Weather, Calendar. That answers most questions and it cannot answer this one. The apps that draw a panel around the MacBook notch are a media app, a utility and a productivity app, and somebody looking for them is not looking for any of those words.
So a tag says what shape an app is instead, and it cuts across the categories. A listing can carry none, and most do. Nothing here replaces a category or a price: an app keeps everything it already was and gains a second way of being found. 14 listings carry a tag so far.
