Questions

Does anything I copy leave my Mac?

No. There is no networking code in the app at all: nothing is uploaded, there is no account and no sync. Your history sits on the Mac it was copied on.

How much history does it keep?

The last twenty of each kind, kept separately: text, links and images. Anything you pin is held on to beyond that.

Where is the history stored?

In the app's own preferences on your Mac, with copied images written as files inside its sandboxed container. Nothing is written outside the space macOS gives the app.

What does it need to run?

macOS 14 or later. It is sandboxed, so it can only reach the files you hand it.

Can it start when my Mac does?

Yes. Launch at login is a switch in Settings, off until you turn it on.
